I was talking to my brother today. He interviews
people for jobs and coaches people in the work place. I was talking about the
value of being able to dress down.
I like jeans and a t-shirt.
He taught me something.
It doesn't matter
what I think when other people are making the decisions.
Thinking about getting a new suit, maybe by Patrick
Grant.
Though, I suppose that when people say they dress
up for themselves, they are telling the truth too... because
- it can make you feel good on its own and
- it can make people value you more, if not love you....
F Schumacher's four fields of knowledge are relevant to this:
- How do I see myself?
- How do you see me?
- How do you see yourself?
- How do I see you?
My brother's brilliant.
He helps me see things differently.
F Schumacher, A Guide for the Perplexed
Before she posts this herself...My wife has been telling me this for years. Have I been deaf?
